Unforeseen Circumstances restrict Internet Access
Due to unforeseen circumstances I will be with out regular Internet Access for the coming weeks. While this is not ideal, I will be checking mail and the site at regular intervals, please bare with me if your trying to contact me during this difficult time.
I will get back to you!
Announcement: Photograph of the Week
I am starting a new feature on the website, Photograph of the Week. This is exactly what is says it is, our favorite photograph of the week. Not jut my photographs will be featured here, and when it is updated, I will attempt to make some explanation as to why this is my favorite of the past week. As as the weeks go by this will result in a rich archive of what I hope will be diverse interesting and inspiring photographs.
Updates to new site
Over the last week I have been working on the new website updating and tweaking things, with a view to making it look better and be more functional. Correcting spelling mistakes and fixing broken links has also taken some time, even though all the content was spell checked with word before copying it here, dyslexia yay.....I've added a couple of new features, these being:-
An external comments system - powered by IntenseDebate, having tried Disqus as well I found that I could do more of the things I wanted with IntenseDebate, so will see how it works in the live site for now, (any comments on how it works would be great).
Search Engine Optimization tools - this has been a minefield for me, and I hope that over the coming days I will get more to grips with all the new terms that I've been trying to learn!
Google Analytics - mainly so I can see if the work with the SEO tools have been in anyway successful!
New Website Live!
Finally after what seems like an eternity, that was actually just over two weeks, my new website (www.barefoot-studio.net) is ready. It's been a struggle as despite a first career in the computing industry programming and coding was not something that I was any good at.
The intention of the new site was primarily to transform the site from being all images and therefore imposable to update and maintain easily, to something that is easy on both counts while also making it look and feel a lot better for my visitors.
Now all that remains is for me to be a lot more active in writing content. I hope that you enjoy the site and will find it interesting enough to visit regularly.
Cardiff Bay
Having spent an number of enjoyable weekends in the bay area I decided to make a small project documenting some of the architecture of the waterfront development, which can be found here in my portfoliosCardiff Bay was once the world's largest coal exporting port, and is now Europe's largest waterfront development.
It is home to a number of attractions including the Wales Millennium Centre. More information about the bay can be found here
